The legal needs of those who have experienced domestic violence are broad and diverse, spanning both criminal and family courts. Lack of coordination between the courts can create added stress for already traumatized victims. If those who are impacted by domestic violence are unable to navigate the complexity of our legal system to access the remedies provided by law, then our legal system has failed them.
